5th Species is a woodwind quintet dedicated to performing adventurous repertoire by 20th century composers. The group is made up of Canadian and American musicians, and this is their debut recording.

Erosonic hopes that this CD will take the listener places they have never been, and transport them to those inner places of mystery, virtuosity and poetry.

David Mott has a multifaceted career as a saxophonist, composer and improvisor in both New Jazz and New Classical music.
