CMC Presents 2025 JUNOfest Classical Showcase
CMC Canada and CMC BC are co-presenting this year’s JUNOfest Classical Showcase, hosted by Gloria Macarenko, on Saturday, March 29, at 1pm in the CBC’s Studio 700 at 700 Hamilton Street in Vancouver, featuring a star-studded lineup of Canadian composition and vocal talent, including:
The Canadian Art Song Project with Jonelle Sills (soprano) and Steven Philcox (piano), performing excerpts from Known to Dreamers: Black Voices in Canadian Art Song a CMC Centrediscs release;

Karina Gauvin (soprano), and Alexander Weimann (piano), performing French and French Canadian folksongs;
Luminous Voices, featuring Walter MacDonald White Bear (courting flute and singer), Jessica McMann (modern flute), Andrew Balfour, Sherryl Sewepagaham, Tim Shantz (conductor) and other vocalists performing excerpts from JUNO-nominated album Ispiciwin;
Deantha Edmunds (soprano) and the Astral String Quartet from the VSO School of Music performing arranged excerpts from Angmalukisaa;
