alcides lanza
June 2, 1929 – July 17, 2024
We are saddened to learn of the death of alcides lanza. An important composer and professor of composition at McGill University for several decades, he was one of Quebec’s pioneers of electroacoustic music and the use of new technologies. Originally from Argentina, he moved to Quebec in 1979, and has been a pillar in the development of contemporary music in Quebec. He is an associate composer at CMCQuébec. Our sympathies to his family and friends.
