“Waves of the Pacific Ocean breaking on its variegated coast line, spectacular mountains, diverse ecosystems of the rainforst – these are pictures which come to mind when imagining beautiful British Columbia. Canada’s West Coast is also home to a cosmopolitan human population, a healthy musical environment and a flourishing community of musical creators. The music individual artists are composing is as diverse and intriguing as the landscape – vocal, instrumental and electroacoustic music for a variety of ensembles in a wide spectrum of styles.
