The music contained on this Centrediscs recording represents a selection from the vast array of works commissioned and/or premiered by Lawrence Cherney over the past decade. The pieces have been chosen to highlight the rich variety of tone colour available within the oboe family, including the exotic oboe d’amore and the extremely rare bass oboe.
