Ancient Gardens

Ancient Gardens is Colleen Athparia’s second solo CD. It showcases an array of rarely-recorded music by Brazilian, French, Spanish and Canadian composers. Colleen combines her keen desire to travel to exotic places with a zealous interest in exposing Canadian music to new audiences. This has led her to perform in such countries as India, Japan, Thailand, Guam, Hong Kong and Morocco, as well as in the USA. Affirmed by the critics as a major exponent of classical music in Canada, Colleen has developed a reputation for great musicality, sensitivity, fluidity of style and dazzling brilliance of colour in her playing.
