Persian Abstract is a fusion of diverse musical languages, intertwining Baroque counterpoint, Tango-inspired rhythmic drive, and Persian modal inflections composed by Afarin Mansouri. The piece explores the dynamic tension between structured fugue-like textures and the expressive syncopations of Tango, all woven together through abstract, atonal bridges that defy tonal expectations. Rooted in a Persian scale, the work plays with modal sonorities, transforming them through shifting harmonic and rhythmic frameworks. The dialogue between violin and piano unfolds in an ever-evolving landscape of contrast and fluid motion, blurring the lines between tradition and abstraction.
