“Music for a Celebration” is a work for brass quintet that is celebratory in nature. It features a fanfare like introduction that is followed by musical material that features the horn and the second trumpet in dialogue. Through a series of chord changes we are brought to the contrasting central section of the work. The dance like materials found here are shared by all of the members of the ensemble. A return of the opening but with a twist brings us to a coda that in turn brings the music to a rousing close.
