“Written in Toronto as a tribute for the composers dear friend and saxophone player, Ron Park.  He had been struggling with addiction and had an overdose that shocked his community.  Bob tells the story of getting the terrible news, and hearing his friend playing this beautiful melody in his mind.  He quickly jotted the melody down before he forgot it and it has become an all time favourite for his jazz saxophone musicians. This piece is wonderful to solo over, largely staying in the key center, and with the guide of the composed melody for reference the solo can unfold naturally.”
