About The Music

This book contains a few of my favourite Lenten and Easter Hymns.
I grew up in the church and started playing flute at the age of 12.
From the very beginning I was playing all the hymns I loved on flute.

Over the years I developed a particular way of playing these hymns and bit by bit I have written these arrangements down.
In this book I have tried to cover the whole story of Holy Week: thus a series of readings interspersed with these hymns or simply a program of these hymns for flute alone (as I have done many times) makes for a
Peaceful
Lenten Musical Meditation.
All the music in this book has been performed a number of times in concerts as well as in church services.
If you like the music in this book you might also enjoy the following books which are also filled with music I’ve arranged for flute alone.
