R. Murray Schafer: You Are Illuminated

Over his lifetime, Raymond Murray Schafer (1933–2021) gained an international reputation as a composer, educator, environmentalist, scholar, and visual artist. He is widely considered to be the “father of acoustic ecology” and his theories on music education have had international influence. This recording consists of world premieres of choral compositions from four different decades of the composer’s life.
