I composed The Classical Cat: Minnie Minou to celebrate the twenty third birthday of my centenarian feline companion that I share with my partner Marilyn Wollin.

REVERIE describes Minnie in Zen-like postures waiting at her bowl for food or lost in thought at her favourite spots around the house.

The CHILDREN’S SONG echoes the response, wonder and joy about the tales of Minnie that Marilyn shared with her young students at the schools where she taught.

BERCEUSE conveys the love and companionship between Marilyn and Minnie.

FANTASY IN THE GARDE depicts Minnie dozing or promenading around the summer garden at Heddington where we live.

CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS AND BIRDS is the interaction between Minnie with the birds and animals in the Heddington garden who came to feast on food and water.
