Daniel Scheidt presents five electro-acoustic pieces created between 1986 and 1990 where the computer takes care of the electronic part and a real instrumentalist the acoustic one.Mario Rodrigue's piece Tilt won the 1st Prize in the electroacoustic category and the Grand Prize in 7th CBC Young Composer's Competition (1986), and Cristaux liquides was awarded a Mention at the 19th Bourges International Electroacoustic Music Competition (France, 1991).A guitarist and composer devoted to contemporary music, Arturo Parra presents here five mixed works created in collaboration with five notorious practitioners of acousmatics.For the first time with Impulsion are presented all of the works for tape by Coulombe Saint-Marcoux (all but two which have disappeared). This historical disc is the occasion to discover the work of one of the Canadian electroacoustic pioneer.
