Islands metaphorically refers to islands of place, event, and community. Many places drift in and out of consciousness over the sixty-three minutes of the CD.

Invocation is a collection of 20th century sacred music performed by Musica Intima. The programme includes works by Urmas Sisask, Stephen Chatman, Barrie Cabena, and others.

The Inventions of Solitude was Henrik Frisks first release on the Canadian recording label Hornblower Recordings. It features a series of solo saxophone improvisations, some using overdubs and electronics, by Henrik Frisk and a very interesting piece, Saxony, by James Tenney for saxophone and tape delay system.
