Created by Steve Venright, this two-and-a-half-hour-long sonic interpretation consists of over five hundred original recordings, made at locations specific to the text and woven into a reading of the entire four-book poem by the author Christopher Dewdney.

The story about a singer tied to railways tracks in the middle of the desert; a myopic monster who marches towards her; a romantic lead who would like to save her; and two military trains rushing towards each other.
