« Cloudface is mainly about clouds as metaphors. In Buddhist terms, thought has been described as passing like clouds. One can become enamored of gazing at a cloud, and following the analogy, obsessively driven to contemplate a particular thought. The practice of meditation is often prescribed to gain a view wherein one does not focus on any particular thought, or cloud, whatsoever, but merely lets them pass before the view. This induces peace, and a larger view. On this album, created entirely live with processed electric guitar (there are no synthesizers used in this production) each track takes the listener on a journey of many cloudscapes, or a day and night in the life of the mind. By taking part in the act of listening, from beginning to end, a type of meditative state is achieved. Of course, within each track there are many facets to the light and colour, and so the same effect can be obtained by listening in that manner. »
