Beverly Johnston is one of Canada’s premier percussionists, a dynamic performer widely respected both as soloist and ensemble player in Canada and abroad. Her first Centrediscs recording, Impact, was nominated for a JUNO Award in 1987, and here in her second solo recording for the label, she continues to exhibit her prodigious musical talent in five evocative works by Canadian composers.

« Taken as a whole, the collection reflects both the richly diverse possibilities of solo percussion music and the remarkable prowess, sensitivity and precision of this musician in particular. »
– Roxanne Snider, Classical Music Magazine

« Johnston has that magical ability to produce genuine art where other people merely hit things, and some of Canada’s best composers know it. »
– Pauline Durichen, Kitchener-Waterloo Record
