Pianist Colleen Athparia is a major exponent of contemporary Canadian music. The works on this disc, many drawing upon influences from the music traditions of both east and west, were inspired by the immensity of space and time. More directly, this is an interpretation of the vastness of the Canadian landscape and skyscape, enlightened by the mystical aura of the northern lights.
