New Music from the Americas, Vol.2
The series of compact discs New Music from the Americas seeks to showcase and promote music which represents the unique artistic vision of composers from the three Americas. While different composers use different styles to express this vision, there is a common aesthetic rooted in the American experience – imaginative and innovative.
Since 1974 alcides lanza has been the director of the Electronic Music Studio at McGill University. lanza continues to have a very active international career as a pianist and conductor, specializing in the avant garde repertoire. His programs reflect his particular interest in the music of the three Americas.
