Musica Viva is pleased to present a second recording of chamber music gems from this century. Two of the pieces are European in origin and provide an interesting contrast in style to the others, all written by North Americans.

The orchestral works presented here reveal strongly Maya Badian inventiveness, mastery and versatility as a composer and brilliant orchestrator.

Karin Redekopp Edwards is professor of piano at Wheaton College. In 2013 Wheaton College honored her with the prestigious Senior Scholar Achievement Award for her excellence in performing and teaching.
