« Written during a short trip to Saskatchewan, Saskin’ is short for the name of our Canadian province.  Bob was always impressed and inspired by the many jazz musicians that he played with in Calgary; on this trip he played with drummer Andy Cree. It has a descending melody line, with a swing that is undeniable and gives something for the rhythm section to really dig into. There are some delicious back ground lines to play while the soloist explores the chord structure. » – Jessica Erlendson van Remmen
