Having attained the senior age of 75 years, and not feeling the least bit old even if 75 is thought to be so, I set myself the task of writing a suite of piano pieces that centre, for the most part, around the intervals of the 7th and the 5th, in all of their forms – major, minor, perfect, diminished, etc. Probably the first is the most strict in this regard since I started to wander as I went on – a sure sign of age! They are very expressive, I think, and filled with wisdom and nostalgia. Do enjoy these gems and consider your own mortality as you play them… By the way, the title is a pun.
