Where the Gander Goes Barefoot
The poems may be read before each movement.
1. Peter Piper
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers;
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked;
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled
peppers,
Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter
Piper picked?
2. I See the Moon
I see the moon,
And the moon sees me,
And the moon sees somebody
I want to see.
God bless the moon,
And God bless me,
And God bless the somebody
I want to see.
3. She Sells
She sells sea shells on the seashore;
The shells that she sells are sea shells I’m
sure.
So if she sells sea shells on the sea shore,
I’m sure the the
shells are seashore
shells.
4. Donkey, Donkey, Old and Gray
Donkey, donkey, old and gray,
Open your mouth and gently bray;
Lift your ears and blow your horn,
To wake the world this sleepy morn.
5. Betty Botter
Betty Botter bought some butter,
But, she said, the butter’s bitter;
If I put it in my batter,
It will make my batter bitter,
But a bit of better butter
Will make my batter better.
So she bought a bit of butter,
Better than her bitter butter,
And she put it in her batter
And the batter was not bitter.
So it was better Betty Botter bought
A bit of better butter.
