Grief is the most human experience. We will all suffer through a loss eventually. The silence of their eternal absence rings deafeningly in your head. It weighs you down. It clouds the sun. And every memory relived reminds you of the memories you will never make. Grief needs to be faced and conversed with, and eventually it will lead you to a grave. You can bury yourself, deaden your eyes and ashen your skin, never again feel pain but neither contentment nor love.

Or you can bury the grief, lay it to rest and thank it for its time. Your meeting wasn’t pleasant but it was necessary. You will revisit it during your life. You will meet new grief. And every time you will need to choose who gets buried.
