All of the music on this long overdue recording was inspired by haiku poetry. Most of the pieces were especially commissioned by Ms. Jackson. The CD’s title was inspired by one of the haiku in a powerful new song cycle by Toronto Composer Alice Ping Yee Ho.

« Janice Jackson is a soprano who seeks contemporary repertoire with a passion…The settings are fiendishly diificult for both singer and pianist. Jackson and Docking navigate these tortuous twists and turns with an apparent ease nonetheless. »
