The founders of the Canadian Music Centre dreamed of an institution that would collect, disseminate, and promote Canadian music throughout Canada and around the world. Forty years later, with its headquarters in historical Chalmers House in Toronto, and with regional offices in Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Sackville, the CMC has travelled some distance in realizing that dream. This book celebrates those achievements in covering the recent history of the CMC and aspects of Canadian music at the beginning of a new millennium.
