Brandon, Manitoba – The annual Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition (E-Gré), which began
in 1976, was the vision of composer, pianist and violinist S. C. Eckhardt-Gramatté. It is unique in its
devotion to the performance excellence of 20th- and 21st-century music and to the creation of over 40 new
commissioned works by Canadian composers.
Congratulations to Centrediscs and CMC associate composers Carmen Braden and Vincent Ho on their Western Canadian Music Awards nominations! And a big shout out to the other nominated CMC associate composers, Stephen Chatman, Dorothy Chang, and Marcus Goddard!
