CMC Presents: Rebecca Bruton & Ways

Western Canadian composer, songmaker and vocalist Rebecca Bruton’s practice spans chamber music to songs, often dealing with land, loss and desire. For this concert, Rebecca assembles a band of local musical luminaries to perform as S W A N H E R D S. The concert includes a set by local duo Ways (saxophonist Brodie West and percussionist Evan Cartwright) who make a delicate, spare brand of collectively-composed music.

S W A N H E R D S features / Rebecca Bruton (Voice, Violin, Guitar), Laura Swankey (Voice, Whistling), Zoe Alexis-Abrams (Voice, Whistling), Ryan Driver (Keys, Whistling), D Alex Meeks (Saw, Whistling), Pete Johnston (Bass, Whistling)
